Inner city suburbs location | Paying $50 per hour + super
3 month contract | Hybrid working
An exciting opportunity to work for a Local Government Authority in a supportive environment based in the inner city suburbs. The role will report to the Manager, Communication & Engagement and will undertake communications activities on ongoing projects.
Main responsibilities:
Develop communications and engagement strategy and plans
Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement plans in line with internal and external standards and best practice
Manage projects and deadlines with internal stakeholders, providing subject matter advice
Monitor Council’s social media accounts and advise Council staff on use of social media
Coordinate external contractors to design, print, install and distribute project communications
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Working closely with the engagement team to have a positive impact on the community
The successful candidate will:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within community engagement & communications
Must have experience developing strategy
Experience managing community concerns/ issues
Strong interpersonal skills, high level stakeholder engagement
Must be willing to obtain a police check for the position
