About the Company
Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for the management of the NSW Government’s social housing portfolio.
About the Role
They are currently seeking a Senior Community Engagement Officer to join their growing team. You can be based anywhere in NSW with the requirement of attending the Parramatta Office at least twice a month. This an estimated 12month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within Delivery South Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in communicating key strategies relating Future Directions for Social Housing in NSW. You will keep your finger on the pulse in keeping up to date with legislative changes to develop, implement and coordinate stakeholder engagement to achieve project outcomes and organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Track, monitor and report on project plans, scope, status updates, budgets, milestones and deliverables
- Oversee and manage all aspects of stakeholder engagement planning, development and implementation for a range of projects
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management
- Monitor and evaluate risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures to identify and address issues
- Effectively manage delivery from awareness and discovery to implementation and embedment
- Undertake Community Engagement, participation and involvement activities across NSW
- Conduct research and analysis, make evidence based recommendations
- Gather and collate information to support informed decision making outcomes
- Elicit information from other business units across the agency including planners and developers for information
- Produce well written, high quality pro-former letters and other statutory notifications
- Provide advice and expertise to stakeholders on emerging project issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with governance, best practice and legislative requirements
About You
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels
- Professional, confident and resilient
- Comfortable to work within a highly administrative functioned role
- Proactive and determined with a great work ethic
- Solid analytical, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years Community Engagement experience
- Proven experience with Residential Housing Development OR infrastructure projects
- Local Government and Planning experience advantageous
- Awareness of statutory processes and maintaining up to date knowledge
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Valid Drivers licence and ability to travel throughout NSW
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
