About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Manager, Trustee to join the Risk and Compliance department on a 12-month fixed term contract. As the Senior Compliance Manager, you will deliver on the regulatory requirements of the business, as well as manage compliance related policies and risk management within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance compliance frameworks and procedures to alleviate risks related to regulatory non-compliance;
- Deliver sound advice and support the senior management and stakeholders on compliance-related concerns;
- Organise standard audits, assessments, and reviews of current compliance for process improvements;
- Keep track of the latest trends and changes in legislation and regulations impacting the superannuation industry, and maintain necessary adjustments adhering to compliance requirements;
- Deliver comprehensive reports on compliance activities, analysis, and recommendations for management review; AND
- Spearhead the implementation of training programs to increase awareness of compliance obligations across the organisation.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Law etc;
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in risk and compliance in senior/leadership roles, preferably within superannuation or trustee services;
- Highly developed understanding of the risk and compliance landscape, regulations and emerging issues in the superannuation industry, with an ability to adopt operational practices;
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to superannuation funds;
- Strong ability to develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance frameworks and policies;
- Knowledgeable with risk management principles and practices;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of stakeholders;
- Solid attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
