The Governance, Compliance and Procurement Section is responsible for compliance against the Mint’s regulatory framework and management of the governance, compliance and procurement functions. The Section supports a positive, collaborative and inclusive culture supporting cohesive teams and continuous business improvement in our processes and work partnership with stakeholders.
The Senior Compliance Officer coordinates audit implementation and compliance activities to ensure the Mint meets governance and compliance requirements. They will ensure that all areas of the Finance Branch maintain the appropriate standards and maintain the integrity of the Mint’s financial frameworks.
This Section is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated professional. This position will coordinate audit implementation and compliance activities to ensure the Mint meets its governance and compliance requirements. In addition to other duties, the position is also the lead in travel administration transition project at the Mint, as part of this role the position will manage the administration and provide support to staff in travel matters.
The successful applicant is required to work full-time.
The duties of this position include:
1. Researching, interpreting and applying legislation, including drafting policies relevant to the Mint environment, as necessary.
2. Providing quality, consistent and timely advice on compliance with legislation, regulation and policies, including business areas.
3. Assisting in the coordination of audit implementation activities, such as administering findings, maintaining and monitoring documentation and preparing reports, files and correspondence.
4. Providing and/or organising training in the use of compliance activities and resources.
5. Leading the travel transition project and administering and managing travel for Mint staff.
6. Maintaining key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally with Government and Industry.
7. Contributing to the identification and implementation of continuous improvement strategies and processes in the delivery of strategic governance, risk, compliance and procurement services to the Mint.
8. Perform other tasks and duties as required within the Section.
Security clearance
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
