Aps6 Senior Compliance/Investigations Officers

Our client regulates the consistency, responsiveness and effectivity of Disability Service Providers across Australia and is seeking multiple APS6 Senior Compliance and Investigations Officers to join their national Regulatory Operations team. These based opportunities can be based in any major capital city and are initial 18 months temporary assignments, with potential for a 12-month extension. Our client are seeking to engage candidates ASAP with a projected start date of end of February 2024.

Please note, applicants are required to be an Australian Citizen and must hold a current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance or higher.

Job Specifics:

• Available to be based in any State Capital City CBD
• 37.5 Hour per week, Monday to Friday, typically 9am to 5pm - some flexibility may be offered
• Hybrid working options available
• 18-month initial temporary assignment

This Government body works with people with disability, providers, and the community to deliver nationally consistent, responsive, and effective regulation of service providers. They seek to uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety, and well-being of people with disability receiving supports or services.

The Role
The Compliance Investigations Officers will be part of a dedicated team that conducts compliance monitoring and investigative activities, designed to disrupt, prevent and mitigate fraud, through execution of operational activities, as well as compliance and enforcement actions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead compliance approaches and investigations inquiries/matters into disability service providers, disability support workers and their response to issues of safety, well-being and quality of support services for people with a disability
• Conduct interviews, prepare statements and affidavits, collect, secure and manage evidential material and confidential information
• Work collaboratively with Legal Officers and other advisers in the development of compliance and investigative responses and briefs of evidence
• Oversee compliance and investigations processes that encourage and maintain standards of independence and professionalism

About You
Our ideal candidate will have a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability, ideal candidates will have experience in a similar role, or the ability to demonstrate that they possess:

• A strong compliance, analytical focus and solid customer service experience
• Sound experience in a similar role, preparing complex and/or sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, including reports, briefings and submissions to support compliance action
• Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work within a team environment where expertise can be developed and appropriately shared

Applicants must:

• Hold Australian citizenship at time of application.
• Be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police check.
• Hold a current baseline security clearance
