About the role
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Concrete/Structural Designer to join our leading internal construction division. This role will be responsible for providing drafting expertise in the design, fabrication, construction, installation, and assembly of various projects.
They key focus will be on producing concrete and/or structural detail design, in addition to ensuring accuracy across the various interfaces.
The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the development / construction phase of each project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet project requirements.
The Senior Concrete/Structural Designer will also assist with checking designs of other drafters to ensure accuracy, constructability, cost and standardisation considerations are included in the design development.
Interface with the design and engineering teams during the 3D model development of assigned areas.
Review and plan projects with the project team to ensure technical aspects of each job are clear.
Liaise with both in-house and external designers and detailers as required for the successful completion of each project.
Facilitate detail 3D model development of concrete or structural designs for mine operations infrastructure including process and non-process infrastructure.
Assist with checking revisions of drawings for accuracy, standardisation, cost, constructability and best practice.
Ensure that designs are completed inline within project schedule dates.
What you’ll bring to the team
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role with the Mining and Resource Industry with $50 million + mining or commercial construction projects.
Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering
Proficient in AutoCAD programs
Ability to work across numerous tasks and maintain a high standard.
High level accuracy and attention to detail.
