Join the Haematology Unit as a Senior Consultant, with a opportunity to act as Head of Unit and help support our commitment to quality patient care!
About the Role:
The Haematology Consultant role provides high quality clinical and laboratory haematology services to client groups consistent with the SA Pathology goals and objectives, including inpatient and outpatient haematology services and a full complement of laboratory services.
In this role, you will participate in the administrative duties of the unit while providing managerial oversight of haematology clinical trials unit, including registrars and laboratory staff. You will deliver teaching and training to various groups as required, and contribute to the research activities of the Unit as part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
This role also provides oversight of clinical haemostasis and thrombosis unit, as well as the laboratory coagulation service. This includes Quality Management.
About you:
- You will have a high standard of clinical practice in Haematology
- You will be professional, demonstrate integrity and possess strong leadership skills
- You will have effective communication skills, and know how to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
Additional responsibilities as Head of Unit includes financial, managerial and clinical governance oversight for the Unit.
