Overview
We have a great opportunity for Senior Work Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant to provide consultancy, advisory and operational WHS services to Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN).
Answerable to the Workforce Safety, Systems and Security Manager, you will facilitate continual improvement and legislative compliance, in accordance with relevant Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and guidelines, including Work Health and Safety Act, Performance Standards and Accreditation Standards.
The Senior WHS Consultant works in close partnership with senior management, managers, supervisors, employees and their representatives to facilitate the implementation of the WHS system across YNLHN and contribute to identifying, assessing and controlling WHS risks. The services provided by the Senior WHS Consultant include review of incident and accident interventions, complex accident investigations and risk assessments, development of accident / injury prevention strategies, hazard management, WHS advice, monitoring of databases and systems, conducting and reviewing worksite safety inspection, hazardous substances reviews, hazards and incidents follow up, assistance with Health and Safety representatives (including election and register of elected representatives), participation on committees and in working parties and the promotion of safe practice and zero harm culture.
