We help our clients to better manage their Indirect Tax commitments and liabilities, to improve cash flow, reduce their overall risk profile, and help improve the strength of their businesses. Due to exciting growth we are seeking Senior Consultant or Manager level talent, based in Sydney but open to candidates nationally.Your OpportunityForming part of the Indirect Tax team within our Tax & Legal division, this role will play a key part in delivering on advisory engagements for clients. In this role you will:
Execute and lead the delivery of Indirect Tax and GST advisory and compliance engagements for diverse clients, with a global reach.
Help to develop our Indirect Tax compliance solutions including the use of data analytics and robotics process automation.
Resolve disputes and investigations with tax authorities.
Engage with stakeholders to report on engagement outcomes, including delivery of consulting reports and facilitation of forums to discuss engagement results.
Lead junior team members on a day-to-day basis, mentoring and providing professional development.
Help to grow our future practice, develop strong relationships with clients and internal KPMG stakeholders, identifying opportunities for future business and shaping our future Indirect Tax offerings.

You are a people-person with a love of sharing your GST and Indirect Tax insight and tailoring your communication appropriately for subject matter experts and clients who want to learn more.
You are a project management pro, with a love of big-picture thinking and the skills to see projects from beginning to end; such as establishing project details, performance measurement baselines, key milestones, work breakdown structures, and resource planning.
You get excited about generating innovative ideas that create value, improve processes, and solve complex problems.

Demonstrated knowledge of Australian GST at the Senior Consultant or Manager level, and ability to impactfully deliver your expertise to clients.
Deep knowledge of Indirect Tax, from advisory, compliance and technology through to audits and disputes, ideally having worked in a consulting firm environment.
An understanding of the Indirect Tax market including emerging trends across key markets and in tax technology, appropriate for a Senior Consultant or Manager role.
Experience in transactions/deals work would be highly valued.
