About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Control System Engineer / Senior Automation Engineer (SCADA/Control Systems) within our Cairns office. Preference will be given to engineers with 3 + years of proven experience in Automation, SCADA, PLC, Telemetry and project execution. As a senior engineer, your role will include liaising with our customers and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing scopes of work and functional specifications. You will also be required to develop PLC and SCADA programs, design Control Systems and field hardware configurations to meet the needs of our clients
Candidate Profile:
- You will be degree qualified in Engineering having extensive work experience in Control Systems design, programming and commissioning.
- We will highly regard candidates with extensive skills and experience in Industrial Control and Automation (SCADA and PLC) including design, software development, testing and commissioning.
- Candidates with experience in legacy Control Systems and experience with modernisation strategies will be highly valued.
- You will have widespread skills and knowledge in electrical design, fault finding and commissioning of industrial automation plants.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Client-focused with strong communication skills.
- PLC/SCADA system design and development.
- Industrial communications, network design and development.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector such as Food & Beverage and Heavy Industries.
- Experience with Rockwell, Siemens and Schneider PLC/SCADA.
