We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Officer to join the Geebung team. Reporting to the General Manager, North & Central Region, you will be the first point of contact for any credit queries. The role predominantly includes overseeing the credit granting process and reconciliation of claims from customers.
The key responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to:
- Receipting, allocating and reconciling payments to customer accounts
- Reviewing and granting of credit applications and set up of new customers
- Building relationships and negotiating payment plans
- Providing reports on activities to management team
- Managing customer credit file
- Managing overdue payments via telephone and email
- Referring debt to third party collection agency when required
- Reviewing sales staff credit request, credit reviews, credit applications and references
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement business improvement projects.
- Review and provide recommendations on credit requests from Sales staff to Sales Manager/Business Manager
A successful candidate for this role will:
- Similar experience in a Credit role
- Great verbal and written communication
- Strong negotiation and out of box problem solving
- Ability to build relationships with different stakeholders of the business
- Be resilient, open and honest in dealings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
- Preferable use of ERP system
