Currently managing more than 11,000 hectares, the family produces a variety of crops and livestock, keeping their fingers on the pulse of industry advancements. Continually investing in their staff and infrastructure, all facilities and machinery are maintained to a high standard and regularly refurbished.
A position is now available for an experienced cropping machinery operator to join the team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the cropping program, which includes Wheat, Barley and Chickpeas, with harvested grain predominantly sold directly to feedlots. Depending on the seasons, a summer cropping program can also be undertaken.
Ideally, the role will require considerable experience in broadacre cropping, including sowing, spraying, harvesting, and general farm duties as required. A large grain storage complex involves in-loading and out-loading grain. Working within a dynamic team and autonomously, strong communication, organisational, and basic record-keeping skills will ensure ongoing success.
There is also a modern and well-appointed workshop on the property, all staff are involved in general repair and maintenance of machinery and general farm infrastructure, which makes some mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills advantageous.

An attractive hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful candidate to match current skills and abilities as well as allocation of comfortable on-farm accommodation depending on the candidate’s family requirements. A work vehicle, along with additional incentives, will also form part of the overall package.
Conveniently located just 35 kilometres from Mungindi, you will have close access to schools, employment opportunities for partners, and all amenities. School bus access is available close to the farm gate. Mungindi is a vibrant community with several sporting clubs and events to keep you busy during your time off.
The Ideal Candidate
Utilising their previous cropping program experience, candidates will have attention to detail and a keenness to collaborate with their peers, as well as the following attributes:
- Understanding of the cropping cycle
- Familiarity with cropping machinery, including Autosteer and GPS systems
- Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Truck licence for general farm activities (desirable)
