About the role
Situated at the iconic Parliament House in the heart of the CBD, the Senior Customer Service Officer has oversight of the operations of the Parliament's Dining Rooms, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to all patrons.
Supervising employees and agency personnel, this role provides support, instruction and on-the-job training. Working collaboratively with the Customer Service Coordinator, Manager, Executive Chef and Functions and Events Coordinator, the Senior Customer Service Officer ensures day-to-day service delivery, staffing requirements and administrative processes are managed and maintained effectively.
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, this role sits within a tight-knit, professional team who share a passion and commitment for showcasing locally grown produce to offer a quality experience to all guests of Parliament House.
About you
- You are an enthusiastic Customer Service professional and supervisor, with a track record of success in the provision of front-of-house services to a diverse client group.
- A strong communicator, collaborator and team player, with excellent organisational, self-management and administrative skills.
- You value continuous improvement and have an interest in joining a team who are committed to exceptional service delivery with a passion for locally sourced food and beverages.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview conducted by a selection panel. This interview may take place in our offices located in the Melbourne CBD or online.
Compliance Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencing employment.
Successful candidates will also be required to complete (or maintain) the nationally accredited Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification prior to commencement. Due to this requirement, applicants must be a minimum of 18 years or over to apply.
