Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Dams Engineer to join our Dams team in any of our Tasmanian offices. With a focus on Dam Safety & Risk Assessment, you'll play a key role in evaluating the safety of major dams throughout Australia and supporting the implementation of risk-based upgrades to support our clients in managing their dam safety risks.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Leading dam safety surveillance activities for a range of Australia's major dam owners.
- Leading the safety evaluation of existing dams, spillways, embankments, and related structures.
- Performing dam safety risk assessments and identifying risk mitigation strategies.
- Contributing to the design of major dam safety upgrade projects.
- Managing dam-related projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff on dam engineering principles and current practices.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, providing specialist advice, and building lasting relationships.
What you will bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Between 7 and 15 years of experience in dam engineering, ideally within a consulting environment
- Excellent project management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
