Working closely with the Manager, Business Intelligence and Customer Reporting (BICR), the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for contributing to the maintenance, development and implementation of various performance reporting methods and systems to monitor and project performance data pertaining to the topics of employment, Small Business and vocational education and Training (VET). The role requires a high skill set in the use of data collection, data management and data analysis technologies. As a member of the BICR team you will collaborate with fellow team members and clients at varying levels across the department to deliver data collection and reporting products that support the strategic direction of DYJESBT.

As Senior Data Analyst, you will:
- Extract, analyse, interpret, and present complex data sets for distribution to internal and external clients in response to on-demand requests and annual reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based business intelligence and data visualisation solutions to present departmental data and statistics in an accessible and userfriendly manner for distribution to internal and external clients.
- Develop and maintain data collection processes in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and expert advice to staff on data-related projects and the appropriate use, interpretation, and presentation of data.
- Maintain knowledge of best practice data management techniques to ensure data presentation and sharing meets customer needs.
- Liaise with other departmental officers, other government departments and the wider community to manage expectations, gain a broader knowledge of user needs/desires and to identify data sharing opportunities.
