Mater's Private Revenue team is searching for a Senior Data Analyst to join us in this exciting newly created permanent and full-time position. Reporting into the Director Private Revenue, this role will see you support interdisciplinary health teams with data and analytics to monitor service design and performance and will see you work from our corporate office in Newstead.
This position is integral in Mater's greater strategy by building high-quality, innovative and fully performing maintainable data and analytics solutions and ensure solutions are appropriate in terms of architecture and standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Mater to ensure that analytical tools and information support the needs of the business.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging up to $15 900 annually.
What you'll be doing
Typical duties of this position include:
- Deliver professional, timely and effective data and analytics solutions for complex problems.
- Create and lead the development of technical specifications, system requirements, system designs
- Contribute towards establishment of policies and principles
- Contribute towards development of efficient change and release management frameworks towards delivery of Software Solutions
- Assist in architecting robust reusable libraries/frameworks across multiple systems
- Seek to address consumer needs and ensure proposed solutions are properly understood
- Perform testing of analytics solutions
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to business systems and processes in data and analytics`
- Supports team members to identify and debug complex production issues
- Other tasks as reasonably directed by the Director Private Revenue
We are searching for a Data extraordinaire, ideally someone who is/has:
- A degree in IT or equivalent commercial experience is required
- Preferred previous experience in a similar role within a health organisation
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in data and analytics / enterprise reporting solutions
- Demonstrated ability in delivery of solutions through agile iteration/sprint cycles
- Certification or significant relevant experience in the Microsoft SQL Server technology platform
- Experience working with complex data models in an enterprise environment
- Advanced T-SQL experience using Microsoft SQL Server (Databricks also desirable)
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI and a strong knowledge of DAX
- Analytics Solution design experience in a diverse range of projects / solutions
- Technology related certifications are desirable (Eg. Microsoft Certifications, TOGAF)
- Experience in data quality and governance principles and practices
- Track record of strong stakeholder engagement and experience with change management
- Adaptable to change and able to make independent decision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
