About the role:
As a Senior Data Modeller, you will play a critical role in leading the development and governance of our enterprise data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models to support business intelligence, descriptive and predictive analytics.

You will be based at our new Corporate Support office located in Docklands, with hybrid working 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
What you'll do:
Data Modeling:

• Define data structures, naming standards, and conventions.
• Liaise with stakeholders to gather modeling requirements and options for refinement.
• Contribute to data mapping, extraction, loading and transformation activities.
• Seek opportunities to improve models to increase performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Data Quality, Governance & Security Controls:

• Define data management controls, including model quality, lifecycle and access controls for sensitive information.
• Measure success by delivering data management controls to agreed standards and timelines.

Team Collaboration and Delivery:

• Self-manage the delivery of your work, communicate progress, and proactively address dependencies and blockers.
• Document and present data models, standards, and methods for knowledge sharing and reference.
• Peer review other team members' work and provide feedback to improve team collaboration and effectiveness.
• Measure success by completing deliverables within agreed timelines and receiving positive feedback on time management and team collaboration.

What you'll bring:

• Proven hands-on experience in in data modeling and modern data warehousing architecture, including ETL/ELT methodologies, and business intelligence.
• Extensive experience in dimensional data modeling (Kimball methodology) and star schemas within the retail, wholesale and/or finance industries.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data extraction, loading and transformation techniques.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and industry best practices.
• Adeptness and knowledge of SAP systems as a data source is highly desirable.
• Excellent communicator (verbally and written) with the ability to organise and simplify complex ideas into easily understandable format for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Able to self-manage, problem-solve independently, but also work well as a team player.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
