Form of workThe Town is seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced Senior Design Engineer team in a full-time permanent capacity.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Principal Traffic and Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery of civil engineering design projects and the associated design project scheduling, budget management, stakeholder management and management of external funding requirements. You will work to make the Town Perth’s most empowered, engaged, inclusive and connected community.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Strategic Planning of future projects to ensure shelf ready products. Aim of achieving a program of works that is 2 years in advance,
- Provision of detailed planning for the 5 year Capital Works Program,
- High level of analytical, design, programming, scheduling, and monitoring skills including extensive experience in the use of MS Project or similar programs,
- Engineering design, project management and construction management knowledge,
- Demonstrated advanced technical drawing abilities using Civil 3D/AutoCAD,
- Grant application and acquittal process knowledge for programs including -
- Blackspot,
- Perth Bicycle network and
- Metropolitan regional road group,
- Detailed knowledge and interpretation of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice,
- Ability to lead a small team of engineers in completing work assignments with defined quality objectives and deadlines.
