Job Description
This role is based in Auckland New Zealand. This key role will be to provide quality and timely design verification services and technical advice on Pressure Equipment to our customers for the Industrial Regulatory Team
Key Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Administration of the Pressure Equipment design verification business, providing technical and organisational leadership.
- Provide clients with design verification services for Pressure Equipment in accordance with the regulations and TSG Management.
- To identify and assist in developing and securing new business opportunities.
- Mentor and provide technical training to junior verification engineers to develop their skills and expertise in Pressure Equipment design verification.
Skills, Knowledge and Experiences
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (4 years, honours, from the countries listed in Washington Accord for acceptance in NZ).
- Registered professional engineer (Chartered is desired) for eligibility assessment by Engineering New Zealand for CPEng registration in NZ.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Pressure Equipment design, analysis, conformity assessment, and design verification.
- In-depth knowledge of international Pressure Equipment design codes and standards, such as ASME, AS, BS, PED, EN, ISO etc for Pressure vessels, boilers, and pressure piping.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard design and analysis software in design and analysis of Pressure Equipment.
- Familiarity with materials selection, fabrication methods, and welding procedures related to Pressure Equipment manufacturing.
- Familiar with field installation, testing and inspections of Pressure Equipment.
