About the Role
Our client is currently seeking highly skilled Mechanical Designers and Piping Designers to join their multi-disciplined engineering and design team. Leading future work across a wide range of commodities all over the world, from concept studies to detail design. You will be involved with a diverse range of projects from concept studies, detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning within the mining and minerals processing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise models and intricate technical drawings adhering to established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Lead design reviews and orchestrate collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.
- Utilize initiative and expertise to deliver practical layout solutions and designs while ensuring project timelines and budgets are met. Monitor design effectiveness, work scheduling, resource needs, and ensure compliance with project schedules and client expectations.
- Engage in daily communication with Project Managers, Designers, Engineers, and clients.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Exhibit a commitment to personal safety and the implementation of safe design practices.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an Engineering Consultancy, with a preference for expertise in the mining or mineral processing industry.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Possess an outstanding attitude, a collaborative team focus, and an unwavering commitment to safety.
- Showcase proficiency in MicroStation design software, enhancing your ability to contribute effectively.
- Hold a relevant Diploma or Associate Degree within the pertinent specialization.
- Exhibit innovation, with the capability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Hold current work rights in Australia.
