About Your Role
The Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing quality services to patients/clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) to meet their health and wellbeing needs. Dietitians are allied health professionals who contribute to the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of illness by optimising the nutrition of populations, communities and individuals.
The Dietitian In Charge is the department head, responsible for professional leadership, guidance and day to day operational and line management of the Nutrition and Dietetic staff at Griffith Base Hospital and for provision of dietetic services in both the hospital and community/outpatient settings services. The position involves a combination of acute clinical work and management functions and provides leadership, support and supervision to Nutrition and Dietetic staff.
