The Senior Digital Designer works collaboratively with an in-house team of design and online marketing specialists and external suppliers to Initiate creative digital executions that deliver best-of-breed online experiences. They will: Provide creative leadership and maintain brand identities across all digital channels; Produce quality digital creative executions across multiple channels, including website, banner advertising, eDMs, social media and mobile; Develop the creative skills of the digital design team.
Responsibilities:
- Design digital marketing creative across the following brands:
- Interpret campaign briefs from our clients to develop innovative and exciting digital creative
- Manage personal workload without supervision
- Assist in day-to-day creative tasks
- Collaborate with the technical lead to develop innovative and relevant creative experiences
- Collaborate with other designers within the digital and print teams to ensure quality creative across all media channels
- Liaise with the Production Coordinators to ensure all campaigns are completed on time
- Publish campaign content using the web content management systems
- Develop skills and knowledge through self-education as well as proactive participation and initiation of internal training sessions
- Keep up to date with latest trends and best practice digital design including brand, usability, and web standards
- Assist with the smooth running of GP Advertising by doing other duties as required
- Manage all digital team creative checks
- Maintain templates and compliance of web banners and any other digital creative deliverables from the print design team
- Ensure creative quality assurance of the Digital Designers output by working closely with the team on all onsite campaigns from concept to completion
- Resolve creative issues within digital campaigns before, during and after go-live
- Research and collaborate with the Technical Lead to implement best practice and mentor Digital Designers' creative capabilities
- Assist in-house teams including: Marketing, Account Managers and Creative to ensure our client's business objectives are executed seamlessly
- Collaborate with the User Experience team to conceptualise best-of-breed onsite experiences
- Participate with the digital marketing team to build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients across the following brands: Harvey Norman Australia, Domayne and Joyce Mayne
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead to manage and develop team members' skillsets with ongoing projects and creative ownership
- Push team to develop digital executions that would be deemed sufficient for industry acknowledgements
- Use insights and available reporting tools such as Google Analytics and Crazy Egg to assess creative impact and propose any improvements
- Generate relevant reports on creative performance for internal distribution and use these insights to continually improve GP Advertising's digital delivery
- Through solid experience, maintain an excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant digital design tools. Ensure GP Advertising is always using the latest programmes and tools for optimal digital creative production
- Enforce appropriate compliance training with all direct reports when required or instructed
- Report all advertising compliance issues immediately to GM's team, appropriate Senior management team, compliance officer and appropriate merchants
- Undertake advertising planning and request activities in strict adherence with the Advertising Compliance Policy, Raincheck Policy and all issued procedures relating to the provision of advertised offers
- A solid understanding of the digital landscape including responsive design and digital ad-serving
- Proven solid experience in digital design, coding and an understanding of the technical constraints associated with digital marketing and websites
- Awareness of digital market trends and capabilities within digital advertising
- Highly creative with a strong attention to detail
- Thorough brand knowledge and understanding of the company's 'mobile-first' digital strategy
- Ability to provide the team with creative leadership
- Highly organised and an excellent multi-tasker
- Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to set priorities, accomplish objectives in a timely manner and manage several projects at once
- Proficiency with the Adobe Cloud Suite, including responsive design and digital ad-serving
- Solid working knowledge of XHTML, HTML5 for both onsite and external advertising, CSS3 and Javascript/Jquery (including standards such as W3C)
- 6 years' experience in a similar position within a creative organisation
