Nature Advisory Pty Ltd is a specialist ecological consultancy advising corporate, government and private clients on ecosystem monitoring and management, development impact assessment, biodiversity regulatory compliance. We are based in Melbourne’s inner east and work on projects throughout Australia and offer flexible work arrangements.
Our growing team has a vacancy for a Senior Ecologist and Project Manager. The successful candidate will have extensive experience undertaking ecological investigations, proven abilities in managing complex projects and skills in, or transferrable to, consulting. The position involves:
- Planning and ensuring the delivery of high-quality ecological assessments;
- Provision of advice in relation to ecology and environmental legislation and policy in Victoria and at a Commonwealth level;
- Writing and editing reports;
- Preparing and delivering timely quotes for services;
- Working with a team of committed and passionate ecologists, zoologists, botanists, technical staff and GIS Analysts;
- Building and maintaining client relationships; and
- Contributing to our strategic direction, management, and culture.

Candidates should have graduate qualifications in ecology or a related field. A track record in ecological project management and knowledge of biodiversity legislation and policies is essential. Strong field and communication skills are required. A current driver’s license is essential.
