About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Economic Analyst within the Corporate and Commercial Division of the Department for Energy and Mining.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Proven ability to lead economic analysis and support public policy development which can be applied to priority issues in economic development from energy and mining in South Australia.
• Superior communication skills, with the ability to adapt written and verbal presentation style which synthesises information and communicates complex problems to audience needs.
• A strong track record in taking a consultative and collaborative approach which listens to input from diverse views in developing agendas and direction, and works with other business groups, industry and stakeholders for enhanced outcomes.
• Strong ability to promote a workplace culture of high performance, innovation, responsiveness and collegiality.

Qualifications:
Essential: Tertiary qualifications in economics or finance.
Desirable: Skills in quantitative economic analysis, with potential specialisation in benefit cost analysis, resource economics, energy sector or climate change analysis.
Remuneration:
ASO7, $106,512-115,137 per annum (superannuation will be paid in addition to the salary outlined)
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week.
Special Conditions:

• This is a contract vacancy for a term of 2 years.
