About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an Economic Analyst in the Corporate Planning and Economics department, based in Adelaide.

Reporting to the Manager Economic Modelling and Analysis, this position is accountable for generating and communicating economics and analysis relating to project development, asset commercialisation and investment opportunities. You will be required to deliver evaluations and analysis in line with the company purpose, vision and values and in accordance with the Santos Management System.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain economic models for asset hubs and projects
  • Generate economics for long term plans in consultation with the relevant planners
  • Produce and communicate deterministic and probabilistic economic evaluation for asset hubs and sub developments
  • Provide analytical support for technical, commercial and contractual arrangements
  • Generate inputs to Excom, CEO, Board and other decision support papers
  • Generate and communicate corporate assurance economics for the corporate gating process
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the energy industry including market dynamics, pricing & infrastructure

About You

The preferred candidate will hold tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Geoscience or Engineering with 3+ years of oil & gas experience. You will demonstrate effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to work closely with internal and external parties, ensuring effective and efficient decision-making.
