About the Role
Based in our Brisbane office, this role provides senior technical support for the engineering disciplines of Instrumentation, Control, Metering, and Electrical for operational issues, projects, and field modifications.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provides technical authority assurance and governance for the Instrument, Control, Electrical and production Metering disciplines.
- Develops, implements, and manages discipline engineering solutions, standards, and procedures.
- Leads discipline engineering excellence, governance, and assurance of safety barrier / performance standards effectiveness.
- Provides technical input in the development of projects (Opex/Capex) related technical documentation.
- Participate and provide input to Design Reviews, HAZOP, LOPA, and Risk assessment workshops.
- MOC and TQ Reviews and approvals.
- Advise on implementation of and compliance to regulatory, industry and company standards and codes.
- Actively promotes and drives for safety in the system design and the delivery of engineering solutions and seek out opportunities for process and continuous improvement.
- Actively mentor, guide and coach graduate and junior engineers.
About You
Holding a Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in Electrical or Instrumentation/ Control Engineering along with a Chartership in Engineering and RPEQ (or able to obtain), the ideal candidate will possess significant practical E&IC experience - preferably within a high-pressure hydrocarbon operating environment.
Along with your adaptability, resilience and strong communication skills, it is essential that you can demonstrate a working knowledge of:
- Electrical Power generation and distribution engineering.
- Design verification of process instrumentation, actuated valves, and pressure relief valves.
- Integrated control and safety systems and knowledge in cybersecurity.
- A thorough understanding of the relevant technical standards and regulatory framework relating to the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Mentoring and coaching junior engineers in a corporate environment.
