Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Industry

Based in our Oakleigh office in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne we have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced  Senior Electrical Engineer / Technical Designer  to join our team with overhead and/or underground power distribution experience.

what you’ll deliver:

• Designs of overhead and/or underground power distribution to the Power Industry utility’s standard
• LV electrical reticulation of both overhead and underground networks
• Minor survey works.
• Initial line design investigation
• Provide ongoing design management to deliver projects on time and to budget.
• Asset Relocation of overhead and/or underground design and drafting
• Ongoing customer communication with project updates
• Provide design solutions to ensure best outcome for constructability
• Provide peer QA according to utility standards

To succeed you’ll need:

• Overhead and/or underground power distribution design experience
• AutoCAD drafting experience
• Expertise in design, estimating, and design management of overhead and/or underground power distribution design projects
• Experience with overhead design software (nPoles, Poles N Wires, and Neara)
• Well developed written and oral communication skills
• Experience with power distribution networks & their standards
