About the role:
The responsibilities of this strategic role include:
* Providing engagement and community outreach advice and support to program teams across the department, including the development of bespoke engagement strategies
* Contributing to the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of good practice tools and methodologies required to effectively engage stakeholders and the community
* Mapping the delivery of engagement initiatives and stakeholder feedback and sentiment, and report on progress, risks and opportunities.

How you'll make a difference:
The Senior Engagement Advisor is a strategic role within the Department of Health's Communications and Engagement Division. The role advises on best practice engagement across the Department. The Senior Engagement Advisor will work with Business Partners to develop and deliver strategies to ensure stakeholders are kept informed and provided opportunities to participate in key programs and reforms. Key to the success of the role is the ability to create good practice approaches that enable strong and mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships between the Department and its diverse stakeholders and communities.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
* A tertiary qualification relevant to community engagement or policy development would be advantageous

The following would be beneficial:
* IAP2 training or certification
* Knowledge of the Health sector
