Job Description
As a Senior Engineer in our Sydney business, your impact will be in the delivery of Building and Structural projects, nationally. You will develop solutions that meet client requirements within agreed project timeframes and budget by applying a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles to plan and conduct projects of a complex nature.
What you’ll do
- Provide technical expertise and advice through the different stages of the project lifecycle to deliver practical and economical solutions that meet client requirements.
- Assume responsibility for the management of small to medium-scale projects and/or phases of larger-scale projects inclusive of producing tender documentation, design documentation/specifications and project deliverables within agreed project timeframes and budget.
- Act as project liaison for assigned phase/s of projects and prepare client reports, project reports and present on project status as and when needed.
- Management of resources assigned to project/s inclusive of financial management of project and performance.
- Manage project performance, financials, and resource planning.
- Contribute to the training and development of junior engineers and project resources.
- Act as project liaison, monitor project progress and provide project status reports to client/s.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationship/s, to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and service delivery.
What we are looking for
Ideally, you will have 5+ years of experience with demonstrated technical expertise in Buildings and Structures within a consultancy environment. In addition, you will also have:
- Accredited tertiary qualifications in Engineering with Structural Engineering expertise.
- Local knowledge of Australian Engineering codes and principles.
- Desire to work toward CPEng and/or NER status.
- Demonstrated expertise in the successful delivery of multiple high-profile projects concurrently in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, including the ability to interpret and communicate technical information to non-engineers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with stakeholders, authorises, clients and contractors at all levels.
