We have an exciting opportunity in our Clinical Application Services Team, for a Senior Engineer - DevOps.
The Clinical Application Services Team delivers mission critical systems which clinicians across NSW Health rely on to provide 24 x 7 critical care. Reporting to a Senior Capability Manager for the Epic Systems electronic Medical Record (eMR) system hosting. A key aspect of the role will be to contribute to a team supporting the core technology infrastructure for our Epic Systems eMR, with a focus on the Operational and Reporting Database tier, which is the foundation application for the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) program. SDPR will provide a secure, holistic, and integrated view of the care a patient receives across the NSW Health system, enabling clinicians to access a patient's medical information in real time from a single source.

What you will do
As an integral member of the Clinical Application Services Team, you will:
- Taking accountability for the design, implementation, and operations of hosting the Epic software solution on the Amazon Web Services Public Cloud platform.
- Supporting the SDPR program's capability to deliver subsequent implementation schedules to time, budget, and quality.
- Aligning team practices with eHealth NSW’s Service Delivery Operating Model.
You will:
- Develop, plan & deliver complex systems architecture, guidance & advisory, and ensure the successful building, operating, and running of products or platforms in alignment with relevant roadmaps.
- Design, deploy, and manage the foundational infrastructure for robustness, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Account for optimisation, cost efficiency, integrations, and automation.
- Deliver the Disaster Recovery and Resilience required.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve cross-functional synergy, lifting the overall cloud capability of the Epic platform.
- Collaborate with various technical and non-technical stakeholders, including platform and product owners, solution architects, engineers, project team members, and SMEs from our partners.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
- Demonstrated experience in solution, design, build and operations of enterprise applications on public cloud platforms in a shared services environment. Expertise with Application virtualisation platforms, software load balancing and a working knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and networking protocols, TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP and HTTP
- Demonstrated experience with leading modern ICT Delivery and operational practices, including associated operating methodologies (such as Agile)
- Demonstrated achievement in delivering large or complex enterprise solutions on public cloud platforms including use of Infrastructure as Code (Cloud formation preferred, Ansible and/or Terraform).
