Senior Engineer - It-Ot Technology Infrastructure

The role:

The Senior Engineer IT/OT Technology Infrastructure is responsible for leading and providing specialist technical expertise to a small team of Technology Officers and for co-ordinating activities with Group Enterprise IT and OT technical teams. As the Senior Engineer IT/OT Networks, you will be responsible for managing a large network project and you will be involved with the integration of new systems with existing site infrastructure.

Specific technology systems include:

• Embedded operating system management;

• Windows & Linux server administration;

• Windows & Linux desktop administration;

• Backup, Antivirus and Disaster Recovery procedures;

• Firmware, configuration management and administration of a wide range of intelligent devices including telemetry, VoIP, CCTV & digital dashboards;

• Maintenance of production data reporting to internal and external parties; and

• Management of the site’s IP networks

Selection Criteria:

To be successful you will need a thorough understanding of network management and modification, IP data communication systems, wireless network administration and deployment, Windows, Linux and embedded systems administration, SQL database administration, remote access and administration tool, best practice backup and disaster recovery in 24x7x365 environments, equipment installation standard and Microsoft Active Directory administration and design.

Additionally, you will need to be CISCO certified and have strong CISCO network design experience. You will also need to be CCNP qualified. Your substantial, demonstrated success managing large networking projects within an industrial or mining environment and strong technical knowledge of varying networking technologies will see you secure this dynamic role. A 6-month contract is on offer with extensions occurring on a 3-monthly basis. FIFO Perth 8/6.
