Senior Engineer - Rotating EquipmentAbout UsJemena is an Australian energy company who owns and operates over $11.5 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets across Australia supplying millions of households and businesses with essential services every day.About the role:The Senior Engineer - Rotating is responsible for providing engineering and technical services to support the safety, reliability, integrity and long-term value of Jemena's Asset Class that supports Jemena's commercial and operational objective. This will be achieved by the development and implementation of high quality:
- Asset Class Strategies and Plans
- Opportunity Briefs
- Front End Engineering Design and Project Support
- Asset Performance and Integrity Assessments and Reviews
- Operational Engineering Support
- Engineering investigation and reporting
- Identify projects required to deliver the Asset Class Strategies through the development of high quality and clearly defined opportunity briefs.
- Analyse and clearly define asset performance issues, risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the development of and provide input into the Programs of Work and Capital Plans as required.
- Support Customer and Markets/Business Development by providing high quality and cost-effective design and engineering solutions.
- Support Customer and Markets/Business Development as required by providing engineering support
- Provide high quality and cost-effective support for delivery of the capital programs of work
- Identify and analyse key performance indicators, to assess the performance and integrity of the asset and its key controls to ensure performance in accordance with Jemena's asset strategy objectives.
- Monitor the Overall Performance of Assets and produce Asset Performance and Integrity review reports.
- Understand the Gas Markets Networks and support the assets operations to ensure they are operating at their commercial optimum (physical performance, wastage etc.)
- Provide high quality and timely direction, guidance and advice on engineering issues with regard to equipment operation, capacity and capability of the asset class.
- Provide on-site/field technical support, inspection and witnessing of equipment, its testing and processes to support the delivery of O&M and capital construction works.
- Bachelor's degree and/or higher in Engineering specialising in Mechanical.
- Eligible for Certified Professional Engineer or Register Professional Engineer.
- Solid technical experience in safety critical industry.
- Experience in Australian energy utilities/services provider and contractor market
- Track record of delivering Engineering and technical functions including policy, standards development, regulatory compliance and risk management
- Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, code and appropriate safety criteria.
- Knowledge of Solar Turbine compressor packages, preferred.
