An Appian Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the Appian platform, a low-code automation platform for building enterprise applications and automating business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of Appian applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Integrate Appian applications with external systems, databases, and APIs.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure application functionality and performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge of Appian development practices.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, industry regulations, and security best practices.
Essential Criteria
- 7+ years of experience with Appian.
- Appian Certified Lead Developer experience is nice to have.
- Expertise in relational databases.
- 4+ years of experience with enterprise applications and integrations.
- Extensive stakeholder management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills.
- 3 years of experience in financial services is desirable.
- 2 years of experience in solution architecture is desirable.
- Experience in API design and development is desirable.
