Senior Environmental Reporting Officer - Climate Change | 8 Month Contract | $88.25 p/h incl. super

$79.50 p/h + super 8 month contract Parramatta/WFH

About the Role

As the Senior Environmental Reporting Officer, you will be at the forefront of the agency's efforts to monitor and communicate the impacts of Climate Change. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the content of the Annual Report and the NSW State of the Environment Report, focusing on Climate Change actions, greenhouse gas emissions, and the NSW Net Zero Plan.

This role is 2 days in the office, and 3 days WFH.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership in Reporting: Lead and coordinate the preparation of Climate Change sections in the State of the Environment report and Annual Report. Framework Analysis: Adapt existing reporting frameworks to align with new environmental policies and objectives. Project Management: Manage resources, project budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality reports. Networking: Establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders for effective data compilation and review processes. Expert Advice: Provide accurate advice and recommendations to senior management and the Minister on environmental monitoring and outcomes. Drafting Reports: Prepare complex correspondence, briefings, and reports on environmental assessment and reporting. Issue Identification: Recognize emerging environmental issues and propose solutions considering diverse and complex factors.

Independence: Manage projects and allocate resources independently within agreed parameters. Complex Tasks: Undertake diverse and complex policy and project tasks within tight deadlines. Dynamic Environment: Navigate an environment with frequently changing priorities.

About You

Expertise: Proven experience in Environmental Reporting, Climate Change, or related fields. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and adapt reporting frameworks. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting and presenting reports. Project Management: Demonstrated capability in managing projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
