Senior Estimator

Randstad are proud to partner with a global leader in the resources sector, and offer an opportunity to join our clients team as a Senior Estimator. This role will be offered as an ongoing contract, based out of the Adelaide head office. Applications are now open for this role, with interviews taking place in the coming weeks.

Position Purpose:

In the Senior Estimator role you will have a unique opportunity to help with exciting projects, relating to the increase of ore and concentration at one of our clients biggest assets. You will support the strategic planning and studies team on various projects relating to our clients assets.

In this role you will take part in:

• Develop a cost estimate or parts of a cost estimate and be responsible for the final estimate deliverable.
• Review estimates prepared by internal engineering teams and external contractors for compliance, completeness and accuracy.
• Provide expertise and advice to internal engineering teams and external contractors with developing capital cost estimates that comply with project and company requirements.
• Develop accurate, first principle estimates, and order of magnitude estimates with limited scope and engineering definition.
• Develop the basis of the estimate document clearly articulating the basis, assumptions and exclusions contained in the estimate.
• Analyse tender submission pricing against the estimate and provide feedback to the project team.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience as an Estimator in the heavy industry and proven experience in first principle costing or providing order of magnitude estimates.
• You will have a deep understanding of construction on site in the mining sector or similar including common considerations and challenges.
• Great communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Time management skills and experience within the Australian Mining Industry
