Senior Estimator - Commercial Fit-Out/Refurbishment - Projects To $50M

A market leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing business. Offering a range of services to their high-end clients, the company specialises in fit-out and refurbishment projects across Commercial, Education, Health Retail, Hospitality, and Government sectors. With a project portfolio that includes both small and large scale fit-outs for their clients, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and on time building estimation services to ensure tenders are competitive, low risk propositions, as well as supporting the project team to ensure variations are priced accurately. Must be an autonomous Senior Estimator with the ability to manage the whole process from client brief to tender submission and have the ability to attend tender interviews if required. Must also have an in-depth understanding of construction methodology, trade scopes and estimating principles coupled with strong communication, interpersonal and rapport building skills. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Preparation and submission of tenders Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness Tender negotiations attending tendering interviews Coordinating tender handovers to project team Prepare budgets based on tender submission Assess and price contract variations orders Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or similar Minimum 5 years with proven experience in fit-out / refurb estimating ideally in the Sydney market Ability to tender in multiple projects simultaneously Able to read and understand plans Strong project financial reporting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Well-developed interpersonal skills with a string client and subcontractor focus Able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously Excellent organisational and time management skills Construction Safety Induction (White) card This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
