With company growth, they are seeking a dynamic Senior Estimator to join their team near Artamon, Sydney. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in estimating projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellence in project delivery.
About Your Role:
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for analysing project plans and specifications to determine material, labour, and time requirements. Your expertise will play a vital role in providing accurate cost estimates and proposals, guiding the construction team towards successful project delivery. Collaborating closely with the project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, you will contribute to the seamless execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for projects within the Commercial, Multi-Residential, and Healthcare sectors.
- Analyse project plans and specifications to determine material, labour, and time requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Utilize industry-leading software and tools to develop cost estimates and proposals.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids to achieve competitive pricing.
- Provide expertise and guidance on cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the construction industry, with a focus on Commercial, Multi-Residential, and Healthcare projects.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
- $180K to $220K total package.
