About the role
The Senior Event Research Analyst at Destination NSW is crucial for driving informed event-related decisions. This role involves conducting in-depth research and analysis of events, ensuring quality checks, and evaluating key performance indicators to guide marketing and investment strategies. Key responsibilities include implementing research methodologies, managing project lifecycles, engaging stakeholders, and delivering comprehensive assessments. The Senior Event Research Analyst will oversee procurement activities, develop detailed event evaluation reports, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role supports continuous improvement and knowledge management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within the Division.

About You
You possess tertiary qualifications in analytical/behavioural science, marketing/business, or demonstrated equivalent experience. You have demonstrated experience in project management, with a deep understanding of data analysis and research methodologies. Proficiency in a variety of analysis and reporting tools, including SPSS/Q, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. You excel in implementing research processes, managing projects from start to finish, and tailoring methodologies to diverse project needs.
You are ideally skilled in developing project plans, designing questionnaires, programming surveys, and delivering accurate and timely reports. Your ability to provide subject matter expertise and facilitate future event planning and decision-making is complemented by strong procurement management skills, ensuring value for money. You are skilled at maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders and are committed to continuous improvement.
