About the Role
 
This position is responsible for identifying emerging issues, coordinate and undertake analysis, research and evaluation initiatives that inform and improve the NSW Government policy development, service reform and client outcomes and help deliver the objectives of the NSW Government.

Key accountabilities include:

• Provide adequate and timely advice on research and evaluation project designs, methods, and reports.
• Lead the review and co-design of program logics and evaluation frameworks to support evaluation planning.
• Build and foster positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to undertake evaluation planning, and develop evaluation plans, procure and project manage commissioned evaluations.
• Lead the review and co-design of data capture tools, e.g., data systems, survey tools and interview guides
• Undertake and review quantitative and qualitative data analysis to present insights to varied audiences.
• Manage, prepare and review high-level communications, including letters, briefings, reports and correspondences.
• Ensure information is factual, accurate responses are provided within the agreed upon timeframes.
• Support the process of continuous improvement in the use of evidence in decision making – sharing learnings, developing tools to embed evidence in others work and exemplifying best practice.

• Assess the potential impact of policy changes on analytical projects.
• Maintain and update expertise in analysis, modelling, research, and evaluation methodologies.
• Utilize relevant information systems effectively in a human services context.
• Apply advanced analytical skills to support informed decision-making
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
