What you will do
As our Senior Executive Correspondence Officer, you will:
- Be responsible for undertaking reporting functions relating to correspondence, including the delivery of overdue reports to senior management, ad hoc reports in relation to the current status of matters and the overview of regular reporting processes to assist business groups in their work.
- Effectively manage workflow systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met in a complex and specialised environment.
- Act as an expert reference point for departmental and ministerial staff to provide authoritative, timely and professional advice on key ministerial and business support processes.
- Operate with a whole-of-Government focus including liaising with other departments and agencies to deliver coordinated responses to correspondence for the Minister and Director-General.
- Understand, interpret and implement the Department's ministerial and Executive Correspondence protocols to assist the Manager, Executive Services Unit in reviewing correspondence and providing timely and professional advice and support services to officers that prepare such correspondence.
- Assist the Manager, Executive Services Unit in identifying and providing advice to the correspondence network teams across the department in relation to trends and errors in correspondence and monitoring deadlines.
- Assist the Manager, Executive Services Unit to identify and report on emerging issues being raised by the community in their representations to the Minister or Director-General, and coordinate consistent responses to such correspondence.

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience would be desirable.
