About the Role:
Responsible for planning, implementing and field supervision of exploration programmes on our clients Projects. Ensuring that field staff are properly trained, supervised and assessed in Company procedures and regulatory standards. Management of exploration camps as registered Person In Charge (PIC) and supervision of non-exploration staff conducting fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure Department positions are clearly defined and aligned with the our clients business strategy.
Lead, develop, motivate, and encourage direct reports, peers and our clients personnel to successfully achieve individual, Departmental and Company objectives.
Ensure the capability and effectiveness of the team to meet short- and longterm business requirements.
Ensure each Team Member is clearly aware of their role expectations and
accountabilities
Support and mentor Team Members to manage priorities, workloads, planning,
expectations, and performance
Encourage personal and professional development opportunities to meet
identified skill gaps
Conduct annual performance reviews, ensuring fairness and equality for all
Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, Environment, and Community, and ensure all stakeholders value and always uphold a commitment to Safety

Select and motivate a team of professionals with the skills to support the
project teams services that meet APIMâs objectives.
Mentor and develop the direct team reports by managing work allocation,
training & capability development, problem resolution, and the building of an
effective team dynamic.
Champion and support the performance management, development and
mentoring of other team members with direct reports.
