Senior Exploration Geologist

The Company

Yandal Resources is an ASX-listed, WA-based, junior gold exploration Company with three projects within tier-one gold belts of the Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia. The Company has a current Mineral Resource inventory of 470Koz and successfully completed a $4M capital raise in November 2023. 

Role

Applications are sought from experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join the team at Yandal Resources.

About You

Yandal is looking for a driven and inquisitive individual with a sound technical understanding of exploration who can lead and deliver successful exploration outcomes. The candidate will be actively encouraged to contribute to and progress the Company's geological understanding across all of its projects.

• Tertiary qualified Geologist with regional gold exploration experience (>7+ years experience), with a preference for candidates with Archaean orogenic gold exploration exposure.
• Is driven to independently and proactively develop and progress geological investigations in a systematic and scientific manner.
• Experience in exploration target generation and evaluation.
• Experience in the supervision of small to medium-sized exploration teams.
• Experienced in designing and implementing remote exploration programs, including mapping, soils, AC, RC and diamond drilling. 
• Familiar with the WA regulatory requirements, including the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Act and Regulations
• Current C-Class driver’s licence.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

• The design, planning, implementation and supervision of drilling programs, including logging of drill chips and core.
• The supervision of small to medium-sized exploration teams within remote settings.
• Foster a positive collaborative team culture within the Company and with key project stakeholders.
• Regular reporting of exploration program progress.
• The efficient delivery of high-quality geological data for import into the Company's database.
• The interpretation of geological data to produce sound geological models. 
• The preparation of internal technical reports, plans, and sections.
• Provide input into exploration strategy, resource modelling and exploration budgeting.
• Continual development and evaluation of exploration targets.
• Set, maintain and monitor the use and performance of exploration procedures.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the safety systems.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly reports as required.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory reports and tenement administration.
• Act as the alternate statutory Exploration Manager as per the WHS Mines Act and Regulation.
