Senior Facilities Engineer

Overview:

MCR are seeking a Senior Facilities technician to join a growing team onsite a data centre in Adelaide.

As a facilities technician, your main duties will be to make sure the Data Centre is maintained to the highest technical and security standards. You will play a crucial and integral role in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility infrastructure and respond to any incidents related to the critical facility. 
  
You will come from a strong electrical or mechanical background with previous experience working in a critical environment. 

The role:

• As part of the facilities team your role will be paramount to ensuring the continued uptime of this mission-critical facility
• Assisting in the maintenance, efficiency and reliability of a large and technically complex data centre facility
• Monday to Friday day time role

• Fault finding
• Responding to alarms
• Managing contractors
• Adhering to SOPS, MOPS and change management protocols
• Incident reporting and documentation

• Australian Citizenship is essential for security clearance 
• Trade qualified in electrical or HVAC or equivalent tertiary qualified 
• Experience working in a critical environment with equipment such as generators, UPS, air handling units, CRAC units etc
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead with good communication skills
• Strong understanding of compliance
• Good computer and written skills - reporting is required
• Team player with a can do attitude
