Overview:
MCR are seeking a Senior Facilities technician to join a growing team onsite a data centre in Adelaide.
As a facilities technician, your main duties will be to make sure the Data Centre is maintained to the highest technical and security standards. You will play a crucial and integral role in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility infrastructure and respond to any incidents related to the critical facility.
You will come from a strong electrical or mechanical background with previous experience working in a critical environment.
The role:
- As part of the facilities team your role will be paramount to ensuring the continued uptime of this mission-critical facility
- Assisting in the maintenance, efficiency and reliability of a large and technically complex data centre facility
- Monday to Friday day time role
- Fault finding
- Responding to alarms
- Managing contractors
- Adhering to SOPS, MOPS and change management protocols
- Incident reporting and documentation
- Australian Citizenship is essential for security clearance
- Trade qualified in electrical or HVAC or equivalent tertiary qualified
- Experience working in a critical environment with equipment such as generators, UPS, air handling units, CRAC units etc
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead with good communication skills
- Strong understanding of compliance
- Good computer and written skills - reporting is required
- Team player with a can do attitude
