The opportunity:
Our Development line of business is currently seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to join the team based at our Discovery Point residential development in Wolli Creek 2205. This will entail the management of 3 residential apartment buildings (total of 485 apartments).
Reporting to the Manager Facilities Management Residential (NSW), the Senior Facilities Manager will be responsible for providing a high-quality service to the tenants and owners.
As the successful applicant, some of your responsibilities include:
- Undertaking regular building inspections to identify defects and maintenance items then coordinating service contractors to rectify defects and conduct maintenance/repairs
- Preparing scope of works and tender documents for maintenance and service contracts tendering, and maintaining correspondence, data, and invoice approvals
- Liaising with Strata Managers and Executive Committee members, attending meetings, posting Strata notices and information, and managing by-law breaches
- Being on call 24/7 to assist with residents and owners’ building emergencies
- Undertaking minor maintenance works
- Maintaining a resident register for security access management
- Managing resident move-in/outs, loading dock and common area usage, parking, etc.
- Managing junior staff
- Preparing Facilities Manager reports for Strata Managers and the EC
- Coordinating annual fire certifications and lodgements, and liaising with emergency services on security issues, and with managing agents on protocols
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
- Demonstrated experience in building/facility management, preferably in multi-unit developments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A customer-focussed attitude
- An ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and negotiate with multiple stakeholders
- Self-motivated and an ability to work with minimum supervision
- Availability to respond to emergency/critical issues 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
