About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician, for a senior role within our highly experienced and tight-knit field engineering team. Working closely with key technical and project stakeholders, the Senior Field Engineer will act as the organisation’s deployed subject matter expert, providing real-time trouble-shooting and training and technical support, direct to the clients.
The remit of this role is challenging and diverse. Day-to-day your work will revolve around assisting in the management and conduct of trials, both in the office and out on site, conducting system installations and upgrades, troubleshooting hardware and software configuration issues and working with the customer and engineering team to implement design changes. Through constant analysis and evaluation of the equipment, you will maintain comprehensive logs, in order to support product refinement, suggesting development opportunities and ensuring that quality commitments are met.
About you
To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
- Electronics or Electrical Technician qualifications
- Current Senior First Aid certificate
- Highly developed analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot a wide range of different software and hardware components on a computer network
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite and other commonly used engineering configuration management and task tracking tools
- Field or maritime working environment exposure
- Ability to deploy interstate, to sea and be flexible with work hours
- Comfort with working in a highly autonomous capacity when required
