Multiple Senior Field Ranger opportunities are available at our NSW Taree location.
A Senior Field Ranger is the key point of contact in the field and leading hand for projects, working closely with Field Coordinators and / or Branch Manager. This is a field-based position undertaking activities such as:
- Weed control, spot spray, cut & paint.
- Revegetation.
- Assisting with ecological burns.
- Brushcutting and slashing.
In addition to field-based activities, it is the Senior Field Ranger's responsibility to:
- Assist in the provision of on-the-job training.
- Delegate work to Field Rangers.
- Assist Field Coordinators as project key contacts.
- Demonstrate competence in native reserve maintenance and restoration; and plant identification.
- Resolve or report issues/concerns within the team.
- Participate in fieldwork; anticipate an average of 1 to 2 days per month in the office.
- Take on individual responsibilities within the depot.
- Support team with their performance.
- Team leading / supervising.

Prerequisites:
- Current drivers licence.
- WHS/OHS construction induction (white/red card).
- First Aid Level 2.
- High level of fitness and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Chemcert.
- Additional studies aligning with Conservation and Ecological Management or relevant experience.
