Senior Ranger
- Salary $88,557.35 to $102,727.05 p/a + super
- Permanent full time role, 38 hours per week (rostered day off)

About Ku-ring-gai Council
Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments.
About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader Regulation, this role will see you guide and coordinate a team responsible for regulatory activities in the Ku-ring-gai Community.
Duties will include, but are not limited to
- Actively patrol Council’s environs to ensure general compliance
- Undertaking enforcement action as appropriate
- Issuing Notices, Orders, Certificates and correspondence from investigations and substantial complaints in accordance with legislative guidelines
- Ensuring that quality customer service standards are maintained and that duties are carried out in an efficient, effective and courteous manner
- Providing support, direction, advice, training and coaching to team members
- Undertaking special projects as required
- Working on a rotational roster basis which includes weekend work and emergency call out
Qualifications, Skills & experience
- Completion of Certificate IV Local Government Governance and Administration or equivalent
- Completion of Supervisory or Team Leader Training
- Completion of Conflict Resolution Skill training or equivalent
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Experience as a Ranger in Local Government or similar Regulatory/Compliance role
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
