The Role
Based in our Grafton or Coffs Harbour office, as our Senior Finance Manager, you will demonstrate strong financial leadership, showing initiative, innovation and a business savvy approach to the financial dealings of the organisation. The position is responsible for the overall finance functions of the organisation, including management reporting, audit support, budgeting, and supporting the finance team to efficiently perform accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions. The position is also responsible to oversee improvement of financially related internal controls and processes across the wider organisation and will work closely with and provide expert advice to the General Manager Corporate Services.
You’ll also make an impact by:
- Ensuring that all financial practices align with all relevant laws, standards, regulations and guidelines, including but not limited to the Australian Accounting Standards.
- Maintaining robust financial systems to increase organisational efficiency, accountability, transparency, and decision making.
- Providing customer focused financial services and support to divisions within Livable to support delivery of services to participants.
- Maintaining effective communication with external entities such as auditors, government organisations, funding providers and other bodies.
- Working towards process improvement and systems development in the area of financial management.
- Providing budgeting, forecasting, analysis and commentary suitable for CEO/Board review.
What you’ll bring:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- CA / CPA qualifications.
- Great communication skills to business partner with operational stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills including conflict resolution and change management.
- Empathy and understanding for the aged, people with a disability and those who are vulnerable and/or marginalised.
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Experience working in the aged care or NDIS sector with an understanding of applicable Government funding.
- Willingness to learn and develop your skillset within the rewarding community services sector.
