How will I help?This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering value, developing people and relationships, and building strategy capabilities across the Consumer Finance and Digital Team, and more broadly, across Westpac.This role is pivotal in shaping the Digital and Consumer Finance strategy and other strategic priorities. Senior Managers oversee work-streams in both large projects and smaller strategic endeavors, engaging in detailed problem analysis and strategy development. They collaborate closely with Leads and Service Owners to assess issues, explore strategic options, and construct persuasive arguments for change.This role is about delivering value to stakeholders through a deep understanding of complex problem spaces. The ideal candidate will confidently unpack these challenges, generate hypotheses, and design and execute analyses to test them. They will gather insights from stakeholders, draw logical conclusions, and express their viewpoints effectively. Their work will consistently meet quality and accuracy standards, and they will communicate confidently with stakeholders, crafting compelling narratives supported by data analysis to drive change.In addition to delivering results, this role emphasizes developing people and relationships. The candidate will build and maintain relationships across functional boundaries and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organisation, including senior leadership. • Minimum of 5 years business experience in management consulting, strategy or relevant business roles.
• Experience within financial services, Consumer Finance, credit cards, personal loans are highly regarded for this role.
• Strong strategic thinking and analysis skills are required, defined as the ability to creatively approach and structure complex, potentially unfamiliar and ambiguous issues. Experience in financial modelling is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience working with and presenting to a range of stakeholders, including senior stakeholders.
